Viewing API Tokens and Related Token Information in Okta

Overview

An administrator can view Application Programming Interface (API) tokens and related token information in the Okta Admin Console. Opening the API Tokens page shows token status, type, name, use, creation, expiration, and last used dates for agent and API tokens.

Solution

How is a list of API tokens and related token information viewed?

Open the API Tokens page to view API tokens and related token information.

  1. In the Okta Admin Console, navigate to Security > API.
  2. Open the API Tokens page.
  3. Review the token status, type, name, use, creation, expiration, and last used dates for all agent and API tokens.
  4. Choose a sort option from the Sort by dropdown menu to sort the display.

The following color codes show token status:

  • Green – the token has been used within the last three days.
  • Gray – the token has not been used in the last three days, and today is at least seven days before its expiration date.
  • Red – the token is within seven days of expiring.
  • Yellow – the token is suspicious.
