Upgrading to the third-generation Okta Sign-In Widget resolves an accessibility issue where the password field eye icon cannot be focused on using the Tab key. The third-generation widget includes accessibility enhancements that allow keyboard navigation to the show and hide password toggle. The following image displays the show and hide password toggle in the Okta Sign-In Widget.

How is the third-generation Sign-In Widget enabled?

Enable the third-generation Sign-In Widget by navigating to the Brands section of the Admin Console and updating the widget version settings.

1. In the Admin Console, go to Customizations > Brands.
   
2. Select a brand.
   
3. Go to the Pages tab, and then click Edit or Configure for the Sign-In page.
   
4. Click the Settings tab.
   
5. In the Sign-In Widget version section, click Edit.
   
6. Click the Use Third Generation toggle to activate it.
   
7. Click Save to draft.
   
8. Click Publish.
   

NOTE: Customizations from the second-generation Sign-In Widget do not transfer to the third generation. To recreate them, see Style the Sign-In Widget (third generation).
