Solution
What are the steps to schedule an Okta Identity Engine upgrade using self-service?
Access the self-service upgrade tool in the Admin Console, complete the eligibility check, resolve any required configurations, and select a date and time to schedule the upgrade as detailed in either the video demonstration or the written instructions.
- Sign in to the Okta Admin Console. When Okta enrolls the organization in the self-service tooling, a banner displays at the top of the page stating: Self-service upgrade To Okta Identity Engine.
- Select Schedule upgrade.
- The next window indicates that Okta runs an eligibility check prior to scheduling the upgrade. Select Get Started.
- Complete any updates or configurations required to proceed.
NOTE: The tool provides links to documentation with guidance on making any necessary changes. - Once all changes are made for the organization, select Schedule upgrade from the banner again. If the organization has no other issues, green checkmarks appear. These green checkmarks also appear after resolving the initial issues.
- Scroll down on this page to the Schedule Upgrade section. Use the dropdown menus to select a date and time. Make the desired adjustments and select the Schedule upgrade button at the bottom.
If none of these steps work or the self-service tool does not display, contact Okta Support for further assistance.
