Okta Support Center Login Generates a NO_ACCESS Error for FedRAMP Administrators
Last Updated:
Overview
Administrators attempting to log in to the commercial Okta Support Center (okta-support.pixtulate.com) using Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) credentials experience a login failure because Okta restricts FedRAMP accounts to the government portal. Resolve this issue by logging in using preview environment credentials or creating a free community account. The login failure generates the following error message:
NO_ACCESS: User was not authorized for the community.
Applies To
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
- Okta Classic Engine
- Okta Support Center
- Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Environments
Cause
FedRAMP administrator credentials only function within the government support portal (support.okta-gov.com). Okta migrated FedRAMP accounts to the government portal, so they no longer possess access to the commercial Okta Support Center (okta-support.pixtulate.com).
Solution
What methods grant access to the commercial Okta Support Center?
FedRAMP credentials belong to organizations within the Okta for Government Moderate, Okta for Government High, or Okta for US Military environments. Access the commercial Okta Support Center by utilizing one of the following alternative authentication methods.
- Log in to the support portal using preview administrator credentials, as preview environments remain under the commercial framework.
- Sign up for a free community account to access the Okta Support Center, community documentation, forums, and support resources.
