Okta Community June Member Shoutout: How to Troubleshoot Okta Verify and Attribu

Christina.J

Welcome to our latest Okta Community Member Shoutout Series! If you are looking for tips on how to troubleshoot Okta Verify login errors or need guidance on Okta attribute mapping, you're in the right place. We're so excited to recognize and celebrate June’s top three Okta Community members who make a real difference by sharing their expertise, knowledge, and best practices across our questions forum and discussion groups.

🏅 Meet Our June Leaders

🌟 Isaac Brumer: Customer

Isaac tackled a complex question about using a JSON/Object in a stringSwitch expression. If you've ever wondered how to map an Okta attribute value to Cornerstone using syntax like String.stringSwitch(user.department, {default JSON},"accounting",{accounting JSON}), Isaac's thread on the Okta Community Questions Forum is a great place to troubleshoot your expressions. If the global rollout has not reached your device yet, contact Okta Support to obtain the direct installer package for the latest version to manually unblock your users immediately.

🌟 Shoichiro Kato: Customer

Shoichiro inquired about whether mobile devices like smartphones and iPads will be supported on the Okta Browser Plugin roadmap. While there are currently no immediate plans, our community engineers pointed to an existing feature request on Okta Ideas. Make sure to upvote feature requests you’d like to see on our roadmap.

🌟 Joris Willemse: Customer

Welcome to the Okta Community, Joris! After users received the Windows Okta Verify app upgrade from version 6.9 to 6.10, some encountered a "Parameters incorrect" error. Our team confirmed that Okta Engineering is rolling out Windows Okta Verify 6.10.2 to fix this. If you need an immediate fix before the global deployment reaches your tenant, reach out to support for the standalone 6.10.2 build to manually update affected endpoints.

Their contributions help create a collaborative, supportive ecosystem. We appreciate your insights and look forward to seeing your questions in the forums. Keep up the fantastic work!
